Introducing the IAS Log Viewer

Using IAS Log Viewer you can easily view, analyze and use data from IAS server log files. Quick open and analysis of log files, search, sorting, filters and a lot of reports allow working with log files on absolutely new level.

Easiest way to view IAS server log files

Microsoft IAS server log files contain data in its own text format. You can use MS Notepad to view these logs. Try to open log file in MS Notepad and find last connect result. Did you get it? Using IAS Log Viewer you can do it quick and without special knowledge that has super administrator only.

Microsoft IAS server writes in its log files one or more string for each connects. Try to open your log file in MS Notepad and find strings of needed connect. It can be performed only in simplest configuration of IAS server. IAS Log Viewer group automatically all data in connects list. So, you view and analyze not only raw data generated by IAS server but also all data about connects.

Quick search of needed data in log

IAS Log Viewer has serious search tools for data in logs. Using ordinary line search tool you can quickly find data you need. For example, user ‘SuperUser’ connects or connects with User IP equal to ‘192.168.0.1’. But the most interested results can be generated using filters and sorting. For example, simultaneous sorting by UserName and Duration fields allow to view sorted by connects duration list connects for each user. You can limit connects count in view using filters. For example, show connects with duration more than 10 minutes only.

Convert log formats ability

IAS Log Viewer allows not only view logs. Information about connects can be saved in csv format for analyze it in MS Excel. Data saving in xml format allow using external software for prepares visual reports. Quick copy of information about connects is available using clipboard.

Reports generation about IAS server usage

IAS Log Viewer has build in reports generator. Using its report generator you can get html reports about IAS server usage, connects of selected user etc. Reports interface is not fixed. You can output only columns you need and set its order. You can generate xml reports and use own xslt templates to generate your own reports.
